We will introduce electronic medical systems -Preeident Nana

the President of Ghana Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, delivered the state of the nation's address (SONA). He talked about various projects in the various sector of the economy including laptops for teachers, water projects in some communities, linking all other state identification numbers to the Ghana card, improving revenue generation, and many more.

My concern is about the health sector and hence here are the projects the President announced to be undertaken in the health sector including the steps taken to ensure that the covid 19 infection is a thing of the past.

To begin with, the government promised to undertake 33 projects which were approved last year. According to the President, some of these projects are the construction of Tema general hospital, a nephrology and urology center at Korle-Bu, redevelopment of the Effia Nkwanta Hospital into a Teaching Hospital, and the construction of new Regional Hospitals at Agona Nkwanta and Koforidua.

The health sector will see another breakthrough as electronic medical systems which are being used in some teaching hospitals and some districts hospitals in the Central region will be expanded to other hospitals in other regions.

With regards to the Covid pandemic, the President has stated that by the close of June 2021, 17,600,000 doses of Covid-19 vaccines will be received. He also said that more of the covid 19 vaccines will be procured later to meet the goal of having about 20,000,000 people inoculated against the coronavirus. This means that the coronavirus infection will be a thing of the past.

Frontline healthcare workers are still in the government's plan as they still receive tax waivers and covid 19 allowances.
