From 1st May, No Television Station should show Unclassified Audio-visual - National Film Authority.

Socrate Sarfo (Chairman)


 Socrate Sarfo is a Ghanaian director, filmmaker, and Director for Creative Arts at the national Director of culture and also the Chairman for National Film Authority.


 The National Film Authority, a body responsible for regulating content display on our Television stations in the country.


In a statement released on their official Twitter handle signed by Socrate Sarfo, the chairman. They are pleading with the audiovisual industry in Ghana and the general public to observe the following:


From 1st May 2021, all television stations Cinema theatre, or movie screening center shall not show any unclassified audio-visual content.


Such audio-visual content includes feature films, Tv series, selected Tv programs, advertisements, and any special program.


He urged all bodies to help protect and make this exercise a peaceful one, and anybody who fails to comply with the set rules shall be subject to offenses and penalties in their constitution.


We heard Mr. Socrate Sarfo will be on air tomorrow to throw more light on this exercise, ask all relevant questions so you can be more attuned to the happenings.
