There was No Four to Fifteen Percent Increment for Teachers and other Public Workers

Fifteen percent Increment for teachers

A document was shared on our blog in this ARTICLE that portrays that a fifteen percent Increment instead of a four percent increase was made for teachers and other workers.

As BLEWUTV goes on to do its investigation,  it has become clear that the fifteen percent was not a shift in percentage from four to fifteen.

However,  that fifteen percent is simply the percentage increase on the salaries of other workers and not teachers or other public sector workers.

Take a look at the document again as we clarify.

Fifteen percent Increment
The document states that the percentage increase was for civil and Local government Services,  and not public sector workers.

The Civil and Local Government Service Workers have an association called CLOSAG. This Association is different from public sector workers such as Teachers, Nurses, Doctors,  Government employed Electricians and others.

They include those who work at the District,  Municipal and Metropolitan offices. Some of them work in Ministries and are mostly referred to as civil servants.

The bargain of the Civil and Local Government Service Workers differs from that of the Public Sector Workers.

Therefore,  the document that was released was not in favour of the public sector workers,  but the civil servants and Local government workers.

We hope this article clarifies your understanding about the fifteen percent Increment.
